This midcentury modern home in Kensington, CA needed a major overhaul to make it work for a family of four.
In the kitchen, we painted the existing cabinets, and added a lowered height island to make the client’s baking hobby more comfortable. Quartz counters in contrasting colors and textures add interest, a band of tile behind the stove creates a focal point, and a custom-designed railing to the lower level adds a conversation piece.
The master bath was inspired by the four elements- earth, water, fire and air. The kids bath is playful but sophisticated, for children and guests alike. The furnishings are modern and accessible. Rich blues and creamy yellows create a unified pattern throughout the home, and mix with warm neutrals and pops of red. with Robert Meade, General Contractor
