Talavera Bath

Due to water damage, it was time to update this Berkeley home’s 1920s bathroom. We kept the original footprint and tub, but increased storage by adding a custom vanity made from reclaimed wood and a remnant Paperstone counter (an eco-alternative to solid surface made from recycled paper). The tile was a carefully considered design, incorporating pieces from a half-dozen vendors for just the right balance to accent the decorative Talavera border. The result is a warm and bright bath that unites perfectly with the client’s many colorful, handmade art pieces throughout the rest of the house. with Thynne Home Repairs and Built from Salvage
