San Francisco Bachelor Pad

This San Francisco bachelor pad was a blank canvas for mixing traditional and modern furnishings with African arts. Framed Kuba cloth graces the walls over a heathered blue sofa, complemented by custom Malian mud cloth throw pillows. Camaroonian Bamileke stools echo the Kuba's geometry, and topped with a salvaged marble slab, make for a classic-meets-ethnic coffee table.

In the bedroom, a Greek key patterned duvet and Chariklia Zarris prints continue the play on classic forms. The watery hue of the living room sofa is carried here onto the walls, punctuated by sienna and leafy green organic sheets, and grounded by an espresso-toned recycled teak dresser and nightstand from the Wooden Duck. A far cry from the mismatched decor of his grad school days, this new space will transition the client into his next phase of life!
