When my clients purchased their home on a leafy street in Oakland, they knew they had to gut the master bath as their first order of business. A mid-project discovery that the toilet plumbing couldn’t go where planned meant an entire reconfiguration on the fly. This is the fun and challenge of working in old homes! Following a vision of a soothing gray space, we layered in white and black quartz, marble and tile for contrast. The chandelier, vessel sink, carved mirror and Japanese screen are the details that take the space from basic to elegant.
